This Is Us Conference
This conference is perhaps the corporate event that we are the proudest of, because it is our very own! This yearly conference is dedicated to advancing diversity and inclusion in the workplace for women, BAME, and LGBTQ+ people. 2020 is our third year for This Is Us Conference, and we're expanding our offering each time. It's fair to say that we have definitely faced some challenges when planning and executing the conference, and this is especially so in 2020! It was always our intention that the conference would be in-person this year, as it has been previously. However, the COVID-19 pandemic has put a stop to this and forced us to pivot our entire conference model. As a result, it moved from a paid, in-person event to a fully virtual event with free tickets.
We could have seen this as a bad thing and a downfall of the conference, but this is not our style! Instead, we have embraced every challenge in order to produce a conference that is bigger and better than ever before. Moving our conference online has meant that we can offer it to more attendees than ever before, and also invite more speakers and guests to share their knowledge on this important topic. Reaching more people and sharing our passion for advancing diversity and inclusion in the workplace for women, BAME, and LGBTQ+ people just advances our mission and we're so pleased to be able to do it!
